Well.. this is my solution for now so I want to know if it will work!!

Right, and I did indeed answer if it would work. In theory, it should be fine, but there are no promises, given that you didn't even provide a brand... much less a model number.

It's a local shop, that's why I didn't give you a link and I gave just some specs. (the site is in my native language and stuff :P)

*well I 'll probably buy it, I 'm gonna wait for a few more opinions though!!

It should work as long as it's not blowing moisture as some compressors do.

For those of you answering just use canned air.....
That may be fine for some people but canned air is expensive. Where I live it costs $15 for 2 small cans. Now I have 4 systems in my house and if I was to clean them only every 6 months that would cost $60 a year. For that same one off cost I can but an air compressor.

Shop around car and hardware stores. You may need to get an adapter so you can use it in a wall socket

Try them out, any good store wont have a problem with this.

Don't buy cheap just because it's cheap. A good compressor will last for years and is a quality investment

You don't want anything too powerful and don't use it too close. As stated above blowing a cap off is bad.

Its fine but don't let it touch any component, even with those brush heads that attach to the nozzle.

The friction of the air blown around inside (the blower) can build up static charge.

If you want to remove loose dust after blowing, first put the blower down and ground yourself (by touching any large metal object) before you go in.

ok thanks mate

When I worked as IT, we got this many many years ago, and being using it continuously cleaning hundred of PCs on end for many years. We have done substantial savings.

Super powerful, does a fantastic job, never had a problem. Does get warm over time, but as the manual state, it is fine, and not to worry.

It's the Metro Vacuum ED500.

It's not too expensive, if you buy it at the right time. I recall being ~40$ Canadian on Amazon.ca

It is 500W blower. Comes with all sorts of add-ons, but the installed on the pictured above is the one you'll use.

Like air cans, hold the fan blade of your computer before blowing air at it, else they'll spin faster then what they were designed, and the motor will break, due to debalancing, and your fan will be noisy.

The only complaint I have with this product, is that it is loud.
