Solved by joedjn,
- Am I able to pop all of the new components in to my existing build and expect it to boot to Windows successfully? (I don't foresee any hardware incompatibility at all, simply a software question)
- Yes and No. If you are using your old windows install the old drivers will still be there. You will need to clear these drivers first then go over. I recommend doing this in safemode.
- Will the windows license transfer over / How do I transfer the license?
- You don't need to do much, Just put the hard drive in the other computer and if it asks for a key give it one.
- are there any benefits to performing a fresh installation? - I did one recently
- Yes, You won't need to bother with the removing drivers and doing it again, And with changing chipsets I always do a fresh install.
Any other issues I should expect?
Not that I know off. DOA Parts are always possible.
Will my 3TB of data on the non OS drives be effected at all?
No.
Edit
Fuck everything about IPB Formatting it can suck a rotted toe.
edit 2:
HOW DID THOSE NUMBERS.. I CAN T EVEN
Ok, thanks that puts my mind at ease a bit, I think I'll just go with a fresh install then. I was hoping to avoid the pain of trying to identify where all of my save games are located, I inevitably lost saves with each new install!
