So, I went to the dentist today.

I need a root canal on one tooth. But thankfully everything else "looks really good and healthy". I don't drink soda, and the most sugar I get is from the occasional Mocha or a dessert.

So, moral of this story, no matter how good the rest of your teeth are, when you break off part of your tooth, don't wait a year before you have it looked at.

Watch out for each other. Love everyone and forgive everyone, including yourself. Forgive your anger, forgive your guilt. Your shame. Your sadness. Embrace and open up your love, your joy, your truth, and most especially your heart.

I think a big part of brushing is the gum care as well. Can have super white teeth, but gums that have issues. Same for flossing.

And yeah.... Need to be better about brushing daily and flossing daily..... Up until 6 months ago, it was an every morning and evening thing, and its slowly turned into a "usually every day but not really".

NICE. I kindof want a silver crown instead of porcelain...just cause :P

Thankfully for me, making an opening has already been done..... as in "wow thats a giant hole" according to my dentist.

I had a root canal after chipping my front tooth years ago and the dentist botching the fix, it wasn't too bad. Whole ordeal took about 45 minutes and I couldn't feel a thing. Worst part was being able to smell and hear your tooth being grinded away. I usually get pretty anxious when people are working on my teeth, but the root canal was a breeze. Don't worry too much :)

Do not get a root canal done unless you plan on getting it crowned very soon after. The tooth (or whats left of it) becomes very brittle and will start breaking apart until all that's left is the center where they did the root canal and even that will eventually break off and you will be left with no tooth.

Totally. I will be getting the crown right after at my normal dentist.

Good lol. My dentists are apparently f*ckin idiots and didn't tell me the importance of getting a crown immediately or soon after a root canal =\

Root canal is quite expensive to do right?

With insurance, it wont be horrible. ~350 for both a root canal and crown.

Without, between 600-800 for each procedure.

But I could have purchased a cheap desktop, new video card, or laptop with the money - to put it in perspective.
