Grid 2 Problems

virtualTune

Hey guys,

I have a problem with Grid 2. I currently have 18 hours played so far. Just 2 hours ago I was playing it with SweetFX installed. When I noticed that I can't get into the steam overlay thanks to SweetFX, I deleted all the SweetFX files in the game's folder.

However, now I can't get the game to run anymore.

"App already running (Error 41)"

I have read through tons of steam topics with hundreds of users with this problem.

So far I have tried:

- deleting the appcache

- changing directx10="false" to "true"

- updated nvidia drivers

- updated steam client

- verified game cache integrity

- started game as admin

Anyone with more suggestions or a fix please go right ahead!

I am really frustrated! -.-

Thanks,

-vT

1.u can try entering task manager and go into processes and if u see anything that has the name grid 2 on it end it, im not 100% sure that this will work with you but it generally works when it says app still running

2. Restart, as simple as that!

3. Turn off steam, then do both of the steps above

If none of these work, well i tried helping ya and hope u find some1 that can help :)

I have seen some post on reinstalling it, but everyone said it didn;t fix the problem, so I'd rather not. Btw. Any chance I can backup my savegame that is stored on the cloud?

You can backup savegame folder on hdd if you manage to find them. Clouds point is that they are already backupped. They won't disappear untill whole valves server arsenal crashes and burns.

I have tried taking backups from savegame folders but cloud didn't like it. But those were older games.

I reinstalled it and its still the same problem. I sent the email to customer support and they asked me to send them all the files I had already included in the mail. They don't even read the email, they just Auto-respond. No more Codemasters games for me!
