cpu temperature software accuracy questions?

I use HWmonitor, core temp, Aida64, XTU any of those programs i find work well and are accurate.

 the asus4 way says 39c front panel says 49c and the software says 54c so im kinda confused

Run two separate temp softwares and compare. HWmonitor and CPU-Z for example.

If those two give same temps, they are correct. Now you can choose one and compare with other stuff you were using. The thing with CPU temps is that some software use core temp and some socket temp. There has some variance between these two. Core temp is what you should be looking at.
