GPU stuck at full clock speed

My GTX 970 is stuck at 1164 mhz clock speed all the time even with all programs closed, could someone please help. Thanks.

Is it at 100% usage also?

If so it could be the bitcoin/litecoin mining malware

Desktop: Uhh....

My Console: PlayStation 4      My Phone: ~~Nexus 6~~ RIP. Now a Moto G

he i posted about this the other day its the new geforce experience beta uninstall it and install the latest from nvidias website thats what fixed it for me 

l Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.5Ghz l Asus VII Ranger ROG l MSI GTX 970 @ 1555MHz l
