CPU usage doesnt add up

Don't trust Task manager, sometimes it shows incorrect readings.

so I was doing some Folding for the team and noticed when I disabled 2 threads the CPU usage did not go down.

but when I selected to show individual cores in the task manager they do appear to be idle. 

 

in Cinebench I do see a difference if I disable those 2 cores : goes from 9.5 to 10.93 so that's realistic 

 

So is this a bug in the windows task manager?

Cant seem to find other people who have similar problems on the internet

It might just be a flaw.

Hey, can you two please fix up your signatures - longer than 3 lines on a 1080P monitor. 

It actually depends what theme you're using. Since the day theme width has been shrunk, the signature spreads out onto more lines. The night theme is wider and my signature fits perfectly on three lines.

Well, keep in mind that if you want to get a result for comparison even idling steam causes significant result difference

 

I know  :P I used to bench all the time for an undisclosed website  ;)
