All I can say about my black widow is it doesn't work. It literally just died after a few months, no back light, nothing.

I'm curious about the comparison below at http://www.razerzone.com/minisite/blackwidow/mechanical_keyboards

Is this true?

It's not, it depends on the switch they use. And the BW is an overpriced PoS ^^

Get a Ducky, Filco, CM Storm, WASD,... all much better and most of the time even cheaper ^^

I really want to say that it's just a marketing ploy by Razer since users of "other mechanical keyboards" often comment on actuation points and tactile feedback. It also depends on what kind of switches the other keyboards use, since I believe the BW uses Cherry MX Blues, which would provide that tactile feedback.

I could be wrong, though, and there could be more going on there.

BlackWidow does use Cherry MX Blues... I just bought by BlackWidow and I just love it... and the price was not even that high... I have used Razer mice and keyboards since the Razer Diamondback and the Razer Tarantula, and I have never han any problems with their products... I guess you guys just had some bad luck...

For some reason it looks like they are comparing blues to blacks.  I dont trust them at all.  my friend has one and it isnt built nearly as well as my Ducky, the Black Widow dosent have a metal backplate like almost all other mech keyboards do.

I have a Blackwidow 2013, and I can say it's alot better than the first crappy plastic version. It uses real Blues (I checked), It has macro keys, and it's a pretty solid keyboard, it has almost no flex to it. It's also not very expensive, I think I got it for like $99. The only thing holding it back is the Razer Synapse 2.0 software, which ABSOLUTELY SUCKS. Other than that, it's a pretty good keyboard.

EDIT: I just read that comparison, it's pretty stupid.

Actually, my brother in-law is a big fan of Razer and requests me to get him a mechanical keyboard for his birthday. And his birthday was around the corner. I'm just roaming around Razer site to look into some mechanical keyboards til I clicked and enter this page. Now I look at my own keyboard and have a stupid feeling after reading the comparison below.

Now I'm confused what's my decision now. Should I show him this site before buying them? Or any suggestion to confess him?

If your brother-in-law is a Razer fan and he wants a mechanical keyboard, the Blackwidow is a logical choice.  It is a decent mech keyboard, not THE best, but it is still good and works well.  I've had mine for years and love it. The comparison on their site is just some marketing BS; its a mech keyboard with cherry mx blue switches so you will get a similar experience using it compared to other keyboards with mx blues.
