Hi guys i am in a bit of a trouble here.

I want an hdd to run games from it and i am in confusion beacause i want the best solution in speed but i am also concerned about reliability cause i may running my computer over 12 hours per day and sometimes concecutive days in a row(I think i am using my pc a little less about 7/24).

So i am between those 3 HDDs:

1)WD RE 1TB 7200rpm 64mb cache (model number:WD1003FBYZ)

2)WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200rpm 64mb cache (model number:WD1003FZEX)

3)Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm 64mb cache (model number:ST2000DM001)

Thanks everyone.

P.S This topic is about HDDs so don't bother suggesting any SSDs :)

1/2tb Barracuda or 1tb Caviar blue

If you only need 1tb, then a 1tb barracuda/blue -- whichever is cheaper. If you need 2tb, then 2tb barracuda.

Reliability isn't really an issue with modern drives.

The extra TB is not bothering me.The disk is in the 3 choices only beacause the prizes are similar. As for the caviar Blue although i am using one about 3 years without problems i don't think that it is in my choices here.Furthermore i mention reliability cause i read a lot of reviews of HDDs failing(mainly for the seagate).

Blackblaze's drive report is bullshit, ignore it.

Hmm about the RE speed there aren't a lot of benchmarks online but from the few existing ones i think that they are pretty close with the Black but i am not sure!As for the Seagate i think that it is the fastest of them
