So i've had this problem for a while. Yesterday my SSD died (OCZ) and i now have a new one, and I thought it was my ssd but the problem still persists with a new windows installation on a new drive.

It mainly seems to be whenever i do something internet related. Mostly happens in chrome, sometimes chrome freezes and other things keep working for a bit until they sometimes also freeze along with it. From then on everything I click on freezes and I have to wait a while for it to go away.

Strangely enough i've never had it while playing a game, even quite intensive ones like Alien Isolation haven't frozen on me a single time in all of my 21 hours of playtime.

So it's kinda hard to say what's going on here but maybe anyone has an idea?

what happens during the freeze?

does your CPU go to 100%?

does your RAM go to 100%?

does your disk usage go to 100%?

I will try and have a look when it happens.

EDIT - Max CPU utilization in HWMonitor was 50% and GPU 38% after it went stuck.

So it's kind of hard to see the usage of anything if everything just freezes at a sudden point.

At first I thought maybe my processor, but on second thought would it not be possible that my GPU is the problem as i've had the screen freeze on me while playing youtube videos and the sound still continues.
