Hey all I'm buying and building my first PC tomorrow :D

 

I posted this before but forgot to add one major reason everything is expensive....I live in AUSTRALIA and shipping from America is HORRIBLE.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($249.00 @ CPL Online)

It looks good to me, but you should run your build through http://www.pcpartpicker.com/It makes it easier to share builds, it will find you the best price for each piece of hardware, and will even report incompatibility issues to you!

I dont know if you chose CPL for a reason or not...but your identical build would run MUCH cheaper if you used other vendors. You could also get some decent upgrades if you wanted to use that budget anyways - For instance: you could get a 4690k for $15 less, an ASUS Z97 board same price, etc etc

It's up to you of course, but we can get you much better specs for the money if you wish. $1000 is more than enough to make something that far outstrips that.

2x4GB RAM if possible for dual channel.

Looks good, The Sapphire 260x might have a hard time to keep cool since it isnt a blower style cooler, But i dont think it would be too bad since it has a relatively low TDP.
