*Broken link on your thing dude.

As far as choosing a laptop goes, it really depends on what you want to do with it. Let me tell you though, I wouldn't spend 2K on this laptop in a million years. If you really have that kind of budget get something like an Asus G750JW DB71 and save yourself some money. I currently sporting an Asus G74SX myself.

CPU: i5 4670k • Cooler: Corsair H100i • Motherboard: MSI Z87 MPOWER • RAM: Crucial Ballistix Elite 2x 8GB • Storage: Samsung 840 250GB SSD, 2x WD Red 3TB • GPU: EVGA GTX 780 3GB • PSU: Corsair RM750W • Case: Corsair 750D • Mouse: Razer Naga 2012 (I actually use the thing for productivity/media buttons) • Keyboard: Ducky Shine 3 w/ Browns - Green LED • Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27" 2560 x 1440, ASUS PB238Q 23" 1920x1080 • Lighting: 2m NZXT Sleeved Blue LED Strip • pcpartpicker.com/p/3cHfZ

The MSI GE40 is a pretty good laptop it's pretty much the MSI razer blade 14in. It's also just under $1200 stock and add in my normal recommendation of upgrades from xoticpc you could get a 512gb 840 pro, better thermal compound, color calibration, and a good wireless card you are looking at around $1750. Xoticpc has some interesting add ons you could get with the spare $250 like getting your laptop wrapped in carbon fiber or get a laser etch of something on the laptop back.

It's still thinner than traditional gaming laptops.
