Endless restart loop after RAM upgrade

Go to solution Solved by zappian,

Yup this has happened to me.

Faulty DIMM slots probably.

Try using less sticks to identify which one.

I had to buy a new mobo to fix it.

I am upgrading from a single stick of Corsair vengeance 2x4GB(CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B) to A pair of Kingston hyper x 2x8GB (KHX16C9P1K2/16). However with the new ram installed, the system becomes stuck In an endless loop of restarting, never reaching POST. With the previous ram it works fine. I have also tried it with a new set of Corsair vengeance 2x4GB (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B) and the same problem occurs. Their is no over locking on this system, all BIOS settings are default and the bios version is the latest (2103). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

System specs:

Intel core I7 4770K

Asus Z87-Pro Bios: 2103

Asus GTX 780 direct CU 2

Cooler master hyper evo 212

Samsung 840 Pro

Evo Laps 750w

Wait do I have 4 faulty memory modules or is this an error with the motherboard? (Sorry for my lack of understanding)

The ram slot of the motherboard.

-snip-

Check the RAM on the mobo. The ASUS mobos have a memOK LED that will come on if the ram doesnt work right. Hold it for about 10 seconds and it should work.
