Anyone have experience with Topre switches? how are they compared to Cherry MX switches? is it worth switching?

It's all personal preference. I have never actually used Topre but I've been told it feels like "typing on a cloud of boobs".  Whatever that means, that's what you can expect xD

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

They're more expensive, but cheaper nowadays compared to, say, three years back. With CoolerMaster Novatouch and Topre Type Heaven in the fray, it's become quite affordable now. It doesn't matter if you're just starting the mechanical keyboard foray now, or you're switching from a Cherry keyboard, Topre has a different feel from Cherry, a smoothness in the downstroke (hence the 'Cloud of boobs' reference) that no Cherry I've tried comes close....and I have different keyboards with seven switch types (Red, Blue, Brown, Black, Green, White and Clear) as well as several Topre keyboards (Topre RF 103UB 55G, Topre Type Heaven, two Novatouch, two HHKB Pro 2, a Leopold FC660C). So, I'm not saying this or that based on what I've heard, this is from actual usage. Right now, I've three rigs, and I'm using a KUL ES-87 Cherry Clear (fave Cherry MX switch), a Novatouch with Bumble Bee key set and a Ducky YoTH Cherry Blue.

Bear in mind that a lot of how one feels about switch types boils down to persoanl preference as some had mentioned. So, you may or may not like a Topre keyboard just like you may or may not like a Cherry *insert switch type* switch.

They are a lot like membrane but a lot smoother of an actuation. The only reason i would recommend them to someone is if you do not like the feel of MX switches but still want better than membrane like me.

I forget what my specs are but I have a G502 mouse, Topre XF11T0 Realforce keyboard and Kingston HyperX Cloud headset.
