pretty good build, but what exactly is it for? If its mainly for gaming you don't need an X99 system, if its going to be used for rendering you'll want at least 16GB of RAM. Also, which card do you want, 290X or 980? Those two cards are quite different both in terms of price and performance.

Change it to a z97 mobo, i7-4790k, SLI gtx 970, and 16gbs of DDR3-1600mhz RAM. There, you just saved yourself a lot of money.

It's mainly for gaming and only a bit for rendering.

And with the GPUs I'm not sure. What could you recommend?

I would strongly recommend you getting 970 or 980, 970 offers much better price per performance and is almost as good as 980, watch some benchmarks and decide if 980 is worth the extra money, both are better than what AMD currently offers.

Ok, then this problem is nearly solved.

don't click but copy and paste, than it should work

Thanks :)

970 SLI might be a good idea as well, look ate benchmarks with thoose as well :)

And I would rather get ASUS MBO, they are much better and I even heard that some ASRock MBO had issues with 4790K and I am pretty sure it was this one so look out for that.

Find me a light-blue Asus mobo (to match the build theme) that's also cheap, and I might go with that.

Thanks for your replies.

If I go with 2 GTX 970 what if I want wo upgrade oneday.

And most of you mentioned DDR3 is DDR4 so overpriced and not that much better?

X99 is not worth it and DDR4 won't give you more FPS, RAM speed is almost completely irrelevant for gaming.

Well if you want light blue it is way to go but I don't think that he wants that :D

I like it.... it's different from the usual black and red....

*sniff...
