I usually play League of Legends, but I step up and play games like Battlefield 4, Metal Gear Ground Zeroes, ArcheAge, Blade and Soul. Basically, these games are quite dependent on high specs.

My range for a GPU would be about.. $200ish
I would prefer a GPU that is NVIDIA based because I well.. stuck with NVIDIA for a long time. Haven't been an AMD person. However, I will consider a AMD GPU.

Will I overclock? I will eventually now that I have a well air-ventilated case and 6 120mm/140mm fans at 1000+RPM. Not into the water cooled since the maintenance is too real for me. SLI is a big fat no for me, I absolutely despise it.

My monitor resolution is a 1360x768 always refreshing at 60hz. I doubt I will upgrade to a 1080p monitor anytime soon..

Is the current GPU (MSI GTX960 Gaming 2 OC) placed in the link good? I have heard it is classified as a mid-range, and I like it cause it is a low-powered GPU. Benefits me cause of the PSU I just recently brought (430W).

Hm. Why do you need a 4790k ? It is a really overkill CPU for the games you are playing. Also overclocking on a 430W PSU doesn't sound like a good idea. You could really cut down on the corsair fans and CPU and you can get a good 1080p monitor or a better PSU/CPU cooler (for a better overclock). A word of advice , don't buy the SSDnow from kingston, from what I have heard the controler on that SSD has been change and the performance it has is not as good as it was before. The 960 is a good card for the budget and It will do the job you need it to do. Keep in midn this is my opinion, the build is good and it will serve you well for some time.

I ran an OC'd 4790K on 430w with a GTX760 and had no issues what-so-ever.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

I agree you don't need an i7 for games.

You don't need i7 for AAA action games, that dominate the market. You do benefit from having i7 if you want to stream/do youtube stuff, or if you are playing lots of MMORPG or other MMO types of games - where CPU is actually more important than GPU.

To clear up some things:

The reason I picked the i7 4790k is as listed by chopdok and Razzaa. I plan on streaming some gameplay, and to render UNITY models for my classes. Though this won't mean much, but I also run LINUX through a Virtual Machine for class.

Blade and Soul is an RPG, as well as ArcheAge. I didn't know games like these are CPU dependent..

Just by going by the wattage in pcpartslooker, I thought a 430W should be enough overall. Even though, I only upgraded form a 300W stock so I can get enough for my EVGA GTX 750TI SC. I can't go back now at this PSU.

I do not care about brand. I just need a GPU that can be OC and uses low power for a 430W. I just use NVIDIA because I was recommended that brand, and I so far enjoy it. AMD? I can give it a spin, though with researching the suggested in this post, comparing the 960 with 290 or 280x shows that AMD GPUS consume too much wattage. It is a dodge for me since I prefer not to OC, then to realize I have to upgrade my PSU to a 800W or something. Then again, through benchmarks, 960 pretty much suits my needs of higher FPS in certain games like Far Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes, etc (Battlefield 4 is bleh, just waiting for Hardline).
