android.process.media error fix?

I got this error while using the camera and then it was ok. Now the problems I face are :
-can't play music
-can't play video
-certain apps that require use of camera do not work (could not connect to camera)
-can't send pictures on whatsapp in the app inself ( it crashes)

How can I fix this without wiping all the data because I have a lot of apps and important work messages on whatsapp that i cannot delete.

Reboot.

Done that, even cleared cache

are you using a custom rom?

 

 

Reboot into safe mode, keep holding the power off icon until is shows up, also are there any updates ??

 I am using Xiaomi MIUI6 Rom and using a Redmi Note 4g phone...so it's basically their rom
