I need some opinions and/or help

itsmyjobtoknow

1. Budget & Location

US, USD, between 400-600, cheaper the better

2. Aim

This build isn't for me, its for an aunt. Her computer blew out like 5 months ago and she been bothering me to get a new PC for her. Now here is my problem, since I prefer to build my own, and my uncle (my father figure) prefers to buy pre-built ones. Now since this isn't my money its ultimately my aunts choice, but my uncle suggested for me to compare a pre-built one and a part list INCLUDING an OS and see which has a better value. This pre-built one here from newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883103953 has an i7 and is for 500 dollar...I mean it is unnecessary for her own an i7 but for the value...I might say its decent, just needs a random GPU.

Now keep in mind she only uses her machine like once in while to play Bejeweled and other small games.

Also mini-itx or microatx case only. She doesn't need a mid or full tower in her room.

3. Monitors
None

4. Peripherals
OS Windows 8.1

5. Why are you upgrading?
Previous old computer finally died.

Thanks

18 cents cheaper and double the storage, PSU wattage & ram and better upgradeability. The i5 offers the same iGPU and is much more reasonable for her.

I'd recommend something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2QZtRB
