anyone have any experience with this cooler ? I've got the i5-K and want to overclock it a fair amount. Mate of mine got the same CPU with a H100 and his CPU sits at 4.5Ghz

Its like to sit at this speed (Can't see any reason to go highter) so I was also looking at water cooling, But honestly this is such a sick looking cooler.

So advice, is this cooler worth it ?

Its ok the fan is a bit noisy but you should be able to get a 4.5 out of it but the temps are going to be in the 70-90 range depending on the load

IF i were you I would grab a Dark rock pro or something from noctua

All the reviews I've seen they go on about how even at full fan speed its barely audible ?

i've a bit board of the Classice style (Dark Rock, V8, Noctua) I know they damn good, but want to compare this to the H105 at a Price/ Performance view, now I know the water cooling will win, but thats where cost comes in.

the 3 reviews I've read they all had a good 10 Degree's below stock cooler when over clocked. and that was on the old i7 970's. Pretty sure the New i5-4690K runs a lot cooler.

Anyone here owned this cooler ? or seen one ?

@Slick and @Linus

any chance you could bench mark this, Maybe do a special on some of the More creative coolers out there and if its worth it compared to the traditional styles.

T

it used to keep my old thenom x3 below 40C under load, and it's performing very well keeping an overclocked A6-6400K really cool, i always have the fan on low too.

Thanks man ! ! that's awesome, shouldn't have a problem than keeping an i5 ice cold... now just to find one in south africa
