1 970 or 2 960?

which one is better for price to performance?

isnt it the 2 960 better since  2Gb + 2Gb = 4Gb that can be used fully rather than 1 970 with  3.5Gb and the last 0.5Gb slower than the rest?

2GB + 2GB = 2GB when talking about vram in sli/crossfire (for now at least, it may change once DX12/Mantle is here). 

970 is far superior to two 960's imo. Twice the vram (not really because of the 970 vram issue, but still), no SLI issues, less heat, etc. 

That being said, I'd still go with the R9 290 for 1080p as it's a likely better value, depending on where you live.

What I did was buy 1 970, but I got a PSU that can handle a Second, and will be doing a second one at a later date.

If youre 1080p gamer go with 2x 960s.
