Buzzing noises

Go to solution Solved by GoldSrc,

I went to make sure all the power supply cables were secured, but the problem still persists. I still hear little buzz every now and then coming from my speakers, but not my headphone. The problem I'm most concerned about is the crackling sound that happens when playing Far Cry 3. Like I mentioned before, the audio only crackles during cutscenes and the main menu (this is with my headset). I recorded the main menu of Far Cry 3 to see if it will capture the crackling noise, but it doesn't. I turned off surround sound on my headset and it seemed to fix the crackling, but I'm still concerned, as i prefer using surround over stereo. What kind of problem could this potentially be?

That might be some software issue, or you could test that in another computer.

There's a buzzing noise that happens every so often when I'm playing Far Cry 3 (it only happens during cut scenes and loading screens, not during actual gameplay or dialogues within gameplay). I'm using a headphone that connects wireless to the USB on my computer. There's also a buzzing noise on my monitor's speakers that's connected via the green audio cable to my monitor speakers that buzzes constantly. However, the buzzing doesn't happen on my headphones unless I play Far Cry 3. I haven't played any other games yet, so I'm unsure if it only happens in Far Cry 3. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I'm using the rear audio jack

You may want to check the I/O shield or some of the internal cables, other than that it could be your PSU.

Okay, so I tested the same headset on a different computer playing Far Cry 3 and the crackling still persisted, so I'm convinced that it has something to do with my headset. While the problem of buzzing still occurs on my speakers, I'm sure it's something that I can live with. I'll see if I can grab a replacement for my headset. Thanks for the help!
