What, in all honesty, would be the most practical size for an SSD in a system that will have 2 total drives? One is the SSD itself and the other would be a 2 TB HDD. The SSD would be for OS and some primarily used programs. HDD would be for storage. Of course there would be an external backup drive.

You could easily get away with a 120-128gb. But if you can afford a 250-256 you'll have plenty of extra room for play.
