I was thinking about mini itx but with a bigger case the gpu swap could be easier

I have a CM Storm Scout (not 2) and I love the case. You can fit a ton of stuff inside (I have 6 drives, and SLI) yet it is still easy as all hell to carry due to the large single handle.

When in doubt, re-format.

Edited.

Overclock this to 4.3-4.5ghz and put in your 970. Without mantle support you might have issues with BF4 though, I havent tried this.

I went over budget :(

This with mantle support will run BF4 at acceptable settings/fps.

Looks good I might change the case to scout 2 and I can go till 600$ so don't worry but I would like to stay within the budget and also if I use my existing gpu what components [except gpu] would you suggest?

For a true lan box PC, you shouldn't be worried too much about the chipset of the motherboard. With the i5-4440 it is a locked processor anyways, there is no benefit of going H97 unless there are chipset features that you are specifically looking for. Any MoBo in the market should give you enough functionality for a Lan box.

Thanks but isn't bf4 heavily threaded coz if it is (I think it is) then I could get an i5 right? Coz after removing the gpu from the build I can have enough money left for upgrading the build to an i5

What are your thoughts on this?
