  1. @Generallee it is a real "slow motion feature" because i get constant 144 fps according to msi afterburner osd.
  2. @Jobbe03 well that sounds weird... these slow motion moments are terribly long like 3 to 5 minutes? can i return the game to steam?
  3. Hello LTT-community, during the current steam summer sale i bought a copy of mafia II. i played like 45 minutes and everything was normal. but while trying to steal a car the game sets to ultra slow motion and becomes unplayable. neither restarting the mission or game works. i searched the web and there are quite a few people who have this bug... but their solutions wont work for me. please help! does the game require a patch or something like that? thanks in advance!
  4. @ExcitezR I did not test any games yet. Since the workload on the cpu is affected by so many factors wich could be misleading.
  5. @Tedster Yes it is the full load temp. Did forget to mention that..
  6. ]Hello LTT community, for the last couple of hours i was dialing in my oc on my i7 4790k. while finishing my overclook a few problems due to the lack of my knowledge occurred. Things YOU need to know: - It's my first OC so i'm kind of a noob  - Final freq. 4.7Ghz - Vcore 1.2750 volts - Avg. temps 73 degrees celcius - Specs in signature - Drivers etc. all up to date The System ran AIDA 64 Stress Test and the Intel Burn in Test stable. To validate if the OC did any good i used Fire Strike and Cinebench R15. Results: Cinebench R15 @Stock: 845 multi core Cinebench R15 @4.7Ghz: 933 multi core Fire Strike @Stock: 10229 Fire Strike @4.7Ghz: 10405 However... What I need to know: - Are these numbers expectable and good? - How do i finish my OC properly. Like, i want my CPU cool and underclocked/undervolted (exg. 0.8Ghz) at Idle. But if processing performance is needed it should clock up to 4.7Ghz and max out at 1.275 volts. Because i changed the CPU Ratio in BIOS to Dynamic Mode and the Vcore to Adaptive and also disabled the Turbo Boost function. Still the result is constant 4.7Ghz at Desktop Idle... What did i miss? - Do you think going up to 4.8Ghz is worth it? As i said i am new to overclocking and i would be very thankful for every helpful response! EDIT: This is what the "finished" OC during full load looks like:
  7. @Blebekblebek as i uninstalled an error occured and now i am sitting at 13.251.9001 wtf is happening... cant i uninstall all?
  8. Hello dear community, well i wanted to upgrade my drivers since i heared the new omega drivers will give my 290x some more performance eh. so following happened: i am sitting at the 14.10.1006 version with catalyst on 14.4 when i am looking for newer version catalyst finds the current 14.201.1008 driver wich i confirm to download. i click through the installation process and i end up at amd's homepage wich congratulates me to the successful instalation. but if i check my drivers again i am still stuck at 14.10.1006 in amd catalyst control center i dont get it what did i do wrong? do i need to uninstall the older one first? does amd omega driver look the same as the amd catalyst control center? please help me since i heared the new omega driver can boost performance up to +10% in certain games... thanks in advance!
  9. @Villain oh you are telling me the truht! haha i think i will go with an 1080p 144hz monitor. considering there are 24" an 27" screens i came up with the question that the ppi might be an issue?
  10. @Dzzope well i actually dont care too much about freesync anyway. i just want to know 2 things haha 1. does it make sense to upgrade from my current setup 2. if it does make sense wich 1080p 144hz screen would you recommend
  11. @vembutech but the monitor you mentioned does not have a 144hz panel, does it? @Dzzope i am not very familar with acer monitors, why do you recommend this one?
  12. Hello dear community! i am thinking about uprgading my monitor. currently i am using a 24" ijama 1080p display actually 75hz. so my concern is would i see much of an improvement switching to an 1080p 144 hz "gaming monitor"? shortly i am playing cs:go but i play all kind of games not only shooters. i am not sure if i should go 1440p since i only have a single 290x. i think i can get 60 fps at this resolution but not anything near 144 fps... wich monitor would you recommened? wich size, wich manufacturer, wich resolution and so on and so on. edit: budget anything around 250-400 Eur; location: germany
  13. 14. The new intel nucs with broadwell cpus are great, you just have to add ram and a 2,5" drive or m.2 ssd (depending on model) and you get a very powerful system. the nucs are around 300-350$ and with the storage and memory you might end up with 500-600$. however mini ITX might be worth it if you are searching for a small yet powerful rig... e.g. gaming, light editing or stuff like that. personally i like the nucs they can be used as an office pc, htpc even for light editing they are great considering their size and powerconsumption.
  15. Please don't buy a new computer! Just get an upgrade and save money for down the road. Personally there is no need to buy a complete new computer! Your i7 3770k is still a very very viable CPU wich handle all your workloads with ease. Also the gpu is fine for vs go. However you could upgrade to sli 970 or 1x 980 and get a 144hz monitor. Maybe you get 8 gb more ram a more capacity ssd and a new case if you really feel the need to even when it's not necessary. Personally just go with sli 970 and a new monitor and paired with an aftermarket cooler for the CPU. Oc the shit out of your i7 and enjoy your rig
