3 Way crossfire R9 270

I was looking at putting 3 Gigabyte R9 270's in crossfire is it possible? I would need a 3 way flexible bridge as there is a space between the ast and 2nd gpu,

Thanks guys

Yeah it is, but you should just buy one stronger card.

I don't believe you need a bridge for AMD cards. Disregard this.

And why would you want to CF those? Just upgrade to a better card entirely.

Oh, well then yes it is possible. You need a three way crossfire bridge, and a big enough power supply to support them.

Why do you have 3 270s?

You should probably sell them and get the best single-GPU card you can afford after that.

Sig under construction.

the 270 only has one CF bridge connector and hence is limited to a maximum of 2 way crossfire.

270 is a rebrand of 7870 where the bridge is still needed.   only 285, 260x, and 290/290x have the latest version of GCN with bridgeless XDMA crossfire.

Don't think you can crossfire 3... How did no one catch that?

There is only one crossfire finger on each card, so you can only use a single bridge, and hence only 2 way crossfire. 3 way starts at the 280 and the 280X.

Just sell them and get an R9 290/X or a GTX 970. With a single card setup, you won't have to worry about performance scaling or games that don't support crossfire only using one of the cards vs 2.

Still, took a while, especially for something so obvious.
