Hi guys, I'm new a this forum and also at pc building, but I,ve done some research and written a list of parts which I think are pretty good for what I want. Fist of all, I work with US currency and the one I calculated was about $3500, so anything in that range, maybe 500 or 1000 more wouldn't be bad. I am an arquitect so I'd use it mostly for 3D design and rendering, also some of video editing and working with large CAD and Max files, mostly a workstation. But I'm also intersted in gaming, not a priority, but I'd like to have the option to have a computer that can support great graphics for game as well as performance. I,m a mid-range to high gamer.

The pieces I gather are:

  • CPU. Intel Core i7 5930k
  • Motherboard. Asus X99 deluxe (also thinking about E-WS)
  • RAM. 4 RAM kit Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 - 32 gb
  • HDD.  Hitachi Deskstar 7k4000 - 4tb
  • GPU. 2 Geforce GTX 970
  • CPU Cooler. Be quiet Dark Rock
  • Case.  Fractal Design Define R5
  • Power Supply. Corsair Hx650
  • Monitor. Asus from PA series (I'd like to get two monitors)

And that's it. If there's something that will absolutely work for me, even though it's above the budget, I might consider it.

Thank you for your responses.

You're not using enough additional PCIE lanes to need the 5930k. Just get the 5820k.

The PSU could be much better, and I recommend a 750W+ with dual GPUs, and you're running a more power hungry CPU than normal.

Your storage setup is a bit weird. Personally, I have a strong distrust of hitachi drives. If it were me, I'd get a BX100 SSD (250 or 500GB, depending on tastes) as your boot/primary drive, and a 3TB Seagate Barracuda as a mass storage drive.

Given the work described I do think a Quadro gpu would be the best choice. I don't think there is any way to get around the faster and more accurate work of a workstation gpu. The Quadro K4200 would have gaming performance a bit lower than a GTX 760.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
