Synology: Encrypted Offsite Backup with rsync?

Hello Guys,

I don't know, if there is some Synology expert here, but i could use a litte help with my current project:

I want to do an offsite backup to another Diskstation via rsync. So far not too complicated. But I don't own the backup destination and I don't trust anyone - So I need the files and filenames to be encrypted and protected with a key. Even the Admin of the other NAS shouldn't be able to open them.

My idea was to create an encrypted shared folder on the target and mount it on my nas. Than I would use rsync to move the files there... But so far i've no clue, if this could even work.

Copying and encrypting my data before moving is not an option, since it would take too much space. Encrypting my local Data isn't an option either...
