The only downside I can think of is that you will spawn before your friends in a battlefield server and have to wait for the timer to finish...

Waiting for hard drive users

Do SSD cons exist? My only issue with SSDs ever, I bought my first SSD from Best Buy, brought it home, install in machine, and.... nothing. I tried all SATA ports, different cables, it didn't even show up in the BIOS. Probably because it was a Toshiba. I returned it and got my money back though :P

You don't get it... I have a Dell insperon 2305 as a Monitor... It literally takes twice as long as my PC to boot...

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

High price per GB

Small-ish capacities

Limited number of reads and write cycles.

That last one shouldn't concern you if you're using one for day to day use. The pro's FAR exceed the cons. Seriously, if you are reading this and don't have an SSD or at least a hybrid drive as your OS partition, you should be slightly ashamed of yourself.

Well ssds have plenty cons...

- limited write cycles (can be as low as 500 with tlc ssds)

- pretty much impossible data recovery, if it decides to fail

- can die without a warning any time (mostly due to controllers failing)

- firmware bugs

- speed degradation

- limited data retention (840evo is a good example of this)

- compatability issues (sandforce first gen for example does not work on newer haswell systems; siliconmotion controllers have issues with amd chipsets..)

- can cause bsods (this was very apperent in sandforce days)

All in all, they can have lots of potential cons but if you are aware of them and keep regular backups, there is nothing wrong, as pros can easily outweight them :)
