A10 7850k> Turning of the gpu equals less heat output?

Go to solution Solved by 3dfx,

Its a different part of the chip so in theory it would lower heat emissions and power consumption but in practice I'm also interested to find out whats the difference. But most likely turning off the integrated GPU wont have such an impact as the APU might be designed to always give some power to that module of the chip for stability or who knows what.

When turning the gpu position of a APU off does the whole thing get cooler or outputs less heat meaning the cpu can overclock better Or ????????????????

It should be power gated when you're not using it. So if you disable it, it should consume next to 0 power.

in theory less heat output but unless you're on a stock heatsink overlock gains will be negligible
