high temps on atom 330

my new D945GCLF2 with atom 330 is in btw it is really really really loud so i replaced the thermal paste under the chipset and under the 

40c is pretty normal for idle with that CPU and heatsink. The fan on that motherboard is known for being loud. I would either replace the fan(or reduce the speed of your current fan) or get a new larger heatsink.

i know the one with the fan is the chipset but anyway in the bios the atom alone stays 40 celcius all the time in the bios is this bad? because it is an atom

any sugesstions?

40c is fine. It's likely just loud because of the fan and the poor heatsink design (only 4 fins omfg)

 

You could replace the fan and that'll likely fix your issues. Seems to take a standard 40mm fan
