Unhandled Exception error

Go to solution Solved by Dash Lambda,

Check for windows updates, usually that fixes it. It's happened to me before, but not for extended periods of time. Windows explorer, the program Windows uses to allow you to navigate files, is just like any other program and is subject to bugs.

This particular bug meaning that it's referring to an address or file that doesn't exist at a lower level than when it would usually tell you in a popup that a given file "must have been moved or deleted" without crashing.

If Windows update doesn't fix it, then just wait. It'll fix itself eventually. It just sort of does.

And that is my experience.

An unhandled exception is when the program violates some bound. Usually when it tries to take up a bunch or resources or halts because values aren't defined or the computer has no instruction to continue the program in the middle of a process. Sometimes it means the program is malicious, sometimes it means it's poorly coded, and sometimes it means it's corrupted.

What program is throwing the error? I don't know what "Icaros" is or what it does.

ADDENDUM:
I had to edit this a few times because in my haste I confused "Unhandled Exception" with "Overflow Error"... Whoops XP

"Do as I say, not as I do."

-Because you actually care if it makes sense.
