GTX 780 question

I have an EVGA GTX780 SC ACX 3GB. I found a cheap EVGA GTX 780 SC but is the 6BG version to SLI with mine. 

 

Is it going to work? I don't care is if is going to be limit the 6BG version at 3GB as long as it will work OK.

 

P.S

The card is light used and is around 200 Euros

NVIDIA does not allow SLI with cards that have diferent amounts of Vram.

You will be able to sli them but it would only use 3gb on the second card

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

It'll work just fine, but both cards will be running at the speed of the slowest card. Maybe I should get a second 780...

I dont know, but, as far as i remember, linus said that u need to have the same RAM for SLI

When choosing SLI ready graphics cards, as a general statement for SLI compatibility, the graphics cards you are wanting to use in SLI need to share the same GPU (i.e. Geforce GTX 670 + Geforce GTX 660 will not work but Geforce GTX 670 + Geforce GTX 670 will work), Memory type (DDR3 vs DDR5), and same memory volume (1gb vs 2gb).   GPU Core and memory clock speeds can vary meaning you can mix stock with factory overclocked cards. 

may your framerates be high and your temperatures be low. #pcmr
