APU throttling GPU?

With an external GPU the APU Runs just like any old CPU  so treat as such. 

Current: R2600X@4.0GHz\\ Corsair Air 280x \\ RTX 2070 \\ 16GB DDR3 2666 \\ 1KW EVGA Supernova\\ Asus B450 TUF

Old Systems: A6 5200 APU -- A10 7800K + HD6670 -- FX 9370 + 2X R9 290 -- G3258 + R9 280 -- 4690K + RX480

Hmmm not too sure about that. It seems to bottleneck my 760 OC in some games like BF4.

the A10-7850K and A10-6800K with mild OC will not affect the GPU

 

yours is the A8 7600 may have a slight vaseneck

 

OC it to 4.3GHz

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

can you test it and let us know? 

1080p high (i assume) maybe ultra, dont know about the 760 other than its good.

alt+tab and print screen side by side of task manager ans msi afterburner (temp, fan speed, usage, memory usage)

op-no, nvidia cards arent limited by amd cpus by default, as far as the graphics card knows the PCIE slot just says "there is a cpu" and vice versa and neither know which other are.

shouldnt be a bottleneck anyway as the frostbite engine is really well made

Locked multiplier. I've not been able to work out how to.

Help would be appreciated! 

read any article on how to overclock cpu's like the athlon 750 or whatever doesnt have  "K" at the end, usually FSB overclocking, piece of cake.

pretty much the same

only problem is being a non k edition you'll have to elarn ram dividers>

if your fsb is 200x15.5=3.1ghz try 280x15.5 (disable turbo) and you'll be at 4.4ish ghz but you'll need to put your ram to 1333 divider and you'll likely need around 1.3v

experiment, overclocking is fun and simple and so long as you do some research and take it carefully highly unlikely to damage anything.

at the moment your cinebench's will be just over (sandybridge) i3 3220 levels, overclocked to 4.4 youll be a little over (haswell)i3 4330 levels.

badly threaded games will run better and multi threaded game engines....wont care.

It wouldn't throttle it but it could bottleneck it. Throttling and bottlenecking are 2 very different things.
