Best RAM for $150.00

Go to solution Solved by Vitalius,

Those are pretty much your only other option if you don't like the Tridents.

Heres what i think im going with.

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=12410AC6698&vpn=KHX24C11T3K2/16X&manufacture=KINGSTON

anyone disagree or have any good suggestions?

I considered the gskill tridents but im not down with the color. i know they might have a lower latency at 2400MHZ

I know i will not be benefiting from the speed at all .

Thanks for the response Vitalius.

I appreciate your input! I read and respect your posts!

I kinda wanted the Vengeance pro but they are 50.00 more for the same kit, with slightly tighter timings.

i also considered these sexy dimms but a bit more  costly omg.

Yeah, those are sexy :P.

I prefer these personally. I mean, I don't care to have high timings or speeds since as you said, they don't mean much.

Capacity, price, and appearance are the primary things to consider for RAM.

And thanks bro. I'm glad someone reads them. lol

I just want to point out that most of my knowledge comes from youtubers, tech articles, or www.pcpartpicker.com

I'm basically just an aggregate for those three places/things. :P

Corsair vengence.

send a link to a canadian site please.

My issue right now is that most 16gb kits are 130.00-140.00 for plain old 1600mhz cl9. why not spend the extra 10-15 bucks for something a bit faster? (unless there are some sweet deals to be had i dont know about)

I must say i recently became a hyperx fanboy and am really enthusiastic about their products after buying the

hyperx=3k ssd,

hyperx 16gb LoVo sodimm kit 1600mhz

hyperx 8 gb sodimm 1866mhz

I find the HyperX look just beautiful.

The metal/grey color with the light reflection. The finish on the colorful parts is just... awesome.

135+ shipping will be close to 150.00

would you honestly choose the vengeance 1600mhz kit over hyperx beasts 2400mhz for virtually the same price?

I'd get the trident 2400 from g.skill.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231589

Why? Well you can remove the red piece and make them low profile which you can't do with the others, AND you can paint them any color you want. BEAST!

i really considered these. in retrospect i should have maybe gone with them for the slighty tighter timings, but

I have committed to the beasts.

Mostly because i love hyperx and i feel good about supporting kingston.

-corsair vengence pro 16 gigs

-g.skill lighting

anything for gaming is GREAT, amd systems (apu) will take benifiet of high clock ram, but for a $150 cpu, you may not spend 160$ on ram either. Rendering purposes porbally take advantgae of okay cas latency and capacity (16)

The ram you chosse is fine. extra speed will not hurt, and it will be expensive and hard to find something lower speed, spending more for less benifiets and knowing it is the worst "mistake" if you will
