I only get 70 ish frames on MC. I can get 60fps BF4 Ultra w/ 2xAA and 2xAF. Why?

 

I have an Intel Core i5 4690k

R9 270X Slightly Overclocked 

8 GB of RAM

Java V. 8 (most recent one) 

Allocated 3 GB to Minecraft

No mods installed. 

 

Can someone please help me?

People's Minecraft performance seems to vary. 

Turn down render distance.

Try Vsync, although it's not great in Minecraft.

Because minecraft is a java-based sandbox game, and not built around running smoothly.

 

So, this is normal in other words. 

 

 

If you want higher FPS, start turning things down, or try something like Optifine.

And it's minecraft... Not exactly known for it's optimizations.

Have you enabled it in the control panel? This happened with my GTX 670. After I enabled it, I was getting 600+ FPS

You have to go to the panel where you see all the games, and then you click add. Then search for "java" Then, add java.exe and javaw.exe to the list

there must be something else up with that then because im running s 4790K and 970 so fairly similar and my FPS is much higher than that
