Hey guys, I just bought a new computer and as always I'm running some stress tests to see if everything is working correctly. I installed HWMonitor to see my CPU temperatures and they go up and down every second, and its not a single degree, its like 50-55-49-52-48-52 and I think thats weird because theres no way the temperature can change that fast. Is HWMonitor a bad monitoring software? Or some motherboard problem maybe? It seems weird to me because on my old computer it worked just fine.

Here's my PC specs:

ASUS Z97-C

Core i3 4150 with the stock cooler (I'm upgrading to an i5-4690k, don't worry)

HyperX Fury 2x4GB 1600Mhz

Gigabyte R9 270x Windforce 2GB

Antec HCG-620M

Samsung 840 EVO 120GB + WD Black 1TB

Windows 8.1

It just doesnt like some motherboards/CPU's, It jumps around in the 95-100 zone for me, But MSI control center says it is within 30-60 range depending on the load.

Check for some software from ASUS and see.

I'll do that, maybe there is some useful software...

I think your looking at the wrong numbers. are you looking at the core temps?

Yup, Core #1 and Core #2

Best Temp monitoring system is still RealTemp IMO. Closest I've gotten to what the motherboard has been able to tell me. Only works on Intel CPUs and I don't think it'll like your GPU but I could be wrong. I actually haven't tried it on my 270x.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
