R9 270 gradually getting lower fps...?

So, I am using an Asus R9 270x, while my 280x is being RMA'd. When installing it, i noticed slightly lower than expected performance, eg in bf4. I have ntoiced over the past week, the fps has gradually gotton worse and worse, from 50-60 on low now to barely 20 on low. I thought this was definitely thermal throttling, but checked. All my temps are fine, both cpu and gpu wise. Also, my cpu isn't bottlenecking it, and usage on is normal. I did notice, in gpu tweak that my gpu usage was around 20%-30%,  I have uninstalled all gpu drivers with a driver uninstaller, and reinstalled new ones, still the same problem.

My Rig: AMD FX-6300, Gigabyte Windforce 280x, 8GB Adata XPG 1866 Mhz

Coming soon  : Two Kuhler 650's, one on the cpu, the other paired witha Kraken G10

As a test try bumping up the graphic details, that card should be able to handle bf4 on high with no problems

Tried with tons of different mixes of graphics settings, did not help at all :\

What board do you have? try installing it in another PCIe slot,

your problem is really weird, are you sure its not thermal?? because your temps may seem fine but only because it downclocked to keep temps down

Both card and cpu around 50C while running games, and temps did not jump up at any point, I'm going to try the other slot right now, thank you for helping.

You contradicted yourself.

I's say drivers screwing with you,.. check a few versions to make sure, not just the 'latest + previous rollback version' but a few others... when diagnosing.

If not, AMD Chipset drivers may need reinstalling.

The Misconception - Just because a CPU does not get hot, or doesn't use 100% usage doesn't mean it's not 'necking' a card. Sorry to say.

But I'd still think myself it's a driver issue. BF4 is ONE of those games that works equally on FX as it does Intel.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Remember to re install drivers once you make the switch.

I know it is adviced to clean the old drivers first, but i have never done so, and i have never had a problem xD you mileage may vary

Yeah, I will. I use a dedicated driver uninstaller whenever I reinstall drivers, but they haven't seemed to make any difference in previous experiences.

Yeah, it probably is a driver issue. Note, my FX-6300 shouldn't (at least to my knowledge) bottleneck a 270, it also never bottlenecked my 280x (In the games I played). Also, by "normal" usage, I meant the cpu usage was normal, not the gpu. Poorly worded on my part :P
