4 months ago i build my own gaming pc for about 1200$ with an gtx 970 & SSD to play BF4 tomb raider & AC unity /FC4 & GW2.

At that point i had only a 1366x786 15" notebook.

this summer i will have my own apartment cause of university.then i will only need my notebook i think.

my friends tell me its best to sell the pc and get a tv with a ps4.

its kinda against my religion to change PC for console...but i need a tv..and you know the social live is more comfortable when 4 or 5 people sit in front of a tv instead of a pc.

did anyone travel this road of changing PC for TV +console and give me his ideas? also community ideas are welcome as well

pls no hate im poor student guy

dont sell your pc just buy a tv?

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.1 Corinthians 13:4

I almost did that. As I moved to my dorm it was hard to try to carry around this 20kg PC case not to mention my 27inch monitors and other pheripherals... When it comes to summer break, moving it back isn't a big deal when you have a ride, but smaller break like Christmas it just wasn't worth it and I am stuck using my laptop at home in different city...

Honest'y you'll do fine without your PC, you'll be spending most of the time studying and goofing around with your friends and roomates anyway.

I too only had a 15" 1366x768 notebook before building my rig which in total would have cost about $1200 if I hadn't already had some hard drives laying around, specs are in my signature.

I would stay with the PC, the experience is of much higher quality, resolution, and framerate on PC. (Unless the shitty company making the game makes a shitty port *cough cough* ubisoft *cough cough*)

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W
