Amp/Dac Setup issue

I've got beyerdynamic dt990 250 ohm headphones plugged into the front of my fiio E9, but now I have purchased the fiio E7 and I was wondering how I would get this system working? Like it works wuth the fiio e9, but now i have the e7 hooked up and the switch flicked to dock in, no audio comes through.

Any help is appreciated

You need to connect by usb if you have the e07k docked in.

so usb and the 3.5 - 2 rca?

Plug the E7 to the dock at the qogir. Then connect the qogir to PC via USB. No use for 3,5 or rca anymore.

*it should be written in the manual

USB only. Dacs need digital signal which is what the usb supplies and RCA is analog.

Ive got the USB plugged in, power brick plugged in, e7 connected, headphones connected at the front, dock in switched on, but im still not getting sound

On the front of my amp it has a small switch that says aux in / dock in. I flipped the switch to dock in

Might be a unit defect then. The procedure should be: dock the 2 of them, switch to dock in, connect to PC via USB, the PC will see a new device, set as default, done.

Try to use the E07k just by itself and see if that works.

I unplugged everything, hooked it back up again and still, it didnt work. Also, it turns off my microphones LED light, and I cannot play videos on Youtube.

I have just done that, and everything works fine with no quirks.

The k models are not compatible with the non-k models and vice versa. Make sure that's not the issue.

Sounds like a driver issue. Have you tried other USB ports? 2.0/3.0 can sometimes effect driver stability on Windows.

Just tried that, had all the same issues as before

Out of ideas then, unless one of the products is defective. :-/

Amp is hashed yo.my

Well I played about a bit, and my onboard is on its last legs, the dac works fine, so does the amp, but together they don't work, so I think I may be setting something up wrong

Worse come to worse, use them in the 'dumb' way, serial connection. PC => E07k => E09k via interconnect cables.
