This is what I came up with, specifically for gaming.

EDIT: For anything more like streaming/editing/rendering you can consider upgrading the processor to the i7-4790k and ram to 16gb. You will still end up being way under budget. Storage is up to you :D

Will you be doing anything else like Video editing/Rendering or streaming etc ? Or is it a pure gaming pc ?

If you go 4K just bear in mind that you won't max out every game. It is still a very demanding resolution and current cards are not quite there yet.

I just made a list of my own and wonder if its OK?

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Th3xSithL0rd/saved/KT9XsY

That Kingston SSD had issues in the past so I would avoid it. You would be better with the Crucial MX100 or Samsung Evo 850.

I would get a different cooler. I think the H100i had mounting issues from what I have seen. Also coolers come with paste so you don't really need any extra.

Swap the Motherboard to the Z97 version as it is newer and supports the cpu out of the box.

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-maximusviiformula

You could easily go for a board half the price though, but it is your call.

Do you not want a Case with a proper window ? Otherwise you won't see any of your components.

You might see some performance drop in certain games if you go with the GTX 970. It can be a factor at higher resolutions such as 1440p and above.

Given your budget, I would get this.

I'd mount the water cooler on the top vent.

I have the Z87 PC Mate and it has good features. I'd get the Z97 as an upgrade.

SSD for everything.

1TB for overflow from the SSD when it's full.

3TB as a full-system backup destination drive.

I chose the Rog Swift because you did.

I have a VX238H as a primary display and it's great.  It would be a secondary display here.

SP120 kit for front intake

I have an A40 Audio System but don't really use the amp, so I would just get the headset like I have listed. It's amazingly comfortable (my ears fit inside completely) and sounds great.

You could still get a set of speakers with any remaining in the budget.

If you really need an optical drive, get the cheapest USB model you can find.  You'll rarely use it.  Keep it in the closet.

Edit // Just noticed I made an error.  I'd get the SP120 Performance Edition two pack, not quiet edition.  They're nearly the same price.

i think 3k its the max for pc prices imo

thats all retail, if your shipping prices should be cheaper by 200 to 300

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

I'm sure it's a nice monitor, but in that case, if it were me, I'd pick a different one.

It is the only 1440p G-Sync available plus ROG stuff is always expensive.

There are Freesync monitors which should be out towards the end of March and they are for AMD cards.
