One of my clients is looking for an flatter type keyboard and does not like the sound of cheery reds. The keyboard can be wired but preferred wireless. Please understand this is not for gaming, I'm looking for a high end performance one not the chipper chicken.

If you want a really flat keyboard, I am guessing that you are reffering to the Scissor Switch based ones. These are the ones generally found in laptops etc but you can get them as general keyboards as well.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

Yes but he wants a high end keyboard. Scissor switches can be pretty crappy, but in some cases they are awesome.

You aren't going to find any thin mechanical keyboards just because of how the switches are designed. You would have to go non mechanical keyboard.

You might want to consider the steel series APEX it is a high end non mechanical keyboard.

Also, when you say they don't like the sound of cherry reds, what about the other switches like browns or blues? It would help if we knew about their opinion on the other switches available.

Current Keyboards: Ergodox w/ clears, Poker 2 w/ clears, Ducky G2 Pro w/ Blues

Logitech K750 maybe? There's a K760 that is for macs but it has a better feel for typing.

This one has a backlight. But I wouldn't recommend wireless and backlit keyboards, the battery life would be terrible

I came across this keyboard today and thought it was interesting and might be what you're looking for. It's not too flashy, but as long as it gets the job done, right? :)
