I have a bit of a budget right right and want to upgrade my monitor. Looking for good color depth and acceptable response time. I'm a gamer, but more of a stunning visuals guy.

 

  • The Asus PB278Q is on sale with amazon right now for $550 which seems like a great deal O.o

Any experience with this monitor or can you think of something better in that price range? I would prefer not to go more expensive than that.

I've had the PB278Q for a few days now and it's amazing.  Such a big upgrade from 1080p and the visuals are great.

check out the U2713HM from Dell :) its usually on sale for around $550-$585 on newegg. just ordered one myself! they have usb 3 inputs along with an arguably better color preset

Actually there's 4 downstream ports (2 on side, 2 on bottom) plus one upstream.

The response time of the PB278Q are a little better than the ones of the U2713HM according to stats. I own a PB278Q myself and I'm very happy with it for now :)!

The irony is that directly after posting this, I had a response within 10 minutes. By that time, someone had gotten one of amazon and the price jumped $50 haha. Must be a good monitor indeed.
