Hello guys/girls from the best tech forum,

I'm current thinking of getting a g700s to replace my current (broken) wireless mouse that cost me $100 HKD because I'm from Hong Kong. I know this might be stupid to ask, but I would like to know the reason to get a gaming grade mouse. How does it stack up compare to some random cheap mouse. I like how the g700s looks and the feature on paper, but then the pricing is quite high. As I'm still a student and like to play games, I want to tryout this mouse, but I really want to know the significant difference between normal (cheap) mouse and a gaming grade one.

Thanks :)

It depends what games you're into. If you're into FPS or competitive gameplay, you'll probably be better off with the G400, which'll have quicker response (wired connection) and more precision (A3095 sensor). However, if you're into raiding in MMOs, single-player RPGs or slower-paced games, then the wirelessness and extra buttons on the G700 will be great.
