new laptop ?

so, my school is offering to pay a new laptop for me. between 1000$ and 2000$. though right it the middle gives me more chances of it being aproved.

I had a bad experience with buying a laptop last time, as I don't know their processors very well and different models, so please, help me

 

what I want : 

good graphics (970m perhaps ?)

good processor

if possible, aluminium construction 

good battery life.

 

an SSD is a plus, though not required

I don'T care much about the weight or size, though smaller is better

I would suggest the new XPS 13, it's small, has a great CPU, costs between 1000 and 1500$ depending on what specs you choose and people call it a MacBook Air competitor cause it is thin and the design and build is awesome but it has Intel's integrated graphics

ima do it in english, for everybody's understanding.

I have ADHD. and the governement offers to help with giving a laptop for work, with around that price, though its uncertain if they will accept.

the laptop is for work, but its mine, so I decide what it will be. and then submit the request to the GOV and they send me a check, then I get the laptop

 

 

I also go, to St-Gérome college
