Hey guys,

I have a mac from late 2011. I was logged into 2 accounts on OSX Lion before it crashed permanently. Here's what I did before crash.

  1. I was on my first account with more stuff on it than my other one, and i tried to shut it down by pressing power once.
  2. Popup came up and said that i needed to log into other account to shut down both.
  3. In a hurry, i held down power for 6 secs and shut both down.
  4. next time i tried to turn on it would stay on for 6 seconds and turn off.
  5. I could boot into recovery mode via command r.

I'm not sure why doing a forced shut down (with two users logged in) would cause my computer to crash after being turned back on. I can access the two users in the /Users folder using Terminal, I was wondering if "rm -rf user1" would a) fix this or b) could potentially mess up things even more.

Please get back to me asap guys!

Thanks,

BABA

OFF TOPIC: I suggest every poll from now on to have "**CK EA" option instead of "Other"
