I definitely want to upgrade my pc, but I just don't know when. It seems to still be working strong in most games and gets decent frames on medium/high settings (~40fps BF3, ~100fps COD4, 300+fps CSS :D ). Right now I have the following:

-ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3

-AMD Phenom II x6 2.8 OC'd to 3.4

-XFX Radeon HD 5830

-8GB Corsair Dominator GT

-1TB Seagate Drive

-850W Kingston Lazer PSU

-Thermaltake Element T

-Stock CPU Cooler

Should I upgrade my system for when BF4 comes out? Or should I go with a new build (haswell i7 and gtx780 build thats a bit pricey)? Thanks!

Intel i5 4670K 3.4GHz | EVGA 780Ti Classified | ASUS Gryphon Z87 w/ Armor Kit | G.Skill Sniper 8GB @1866MHz

Samsung 840 Evo 500GB | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Kingwin Lazer 850W Bronze PSU | Corsair 350D Window

Razer Blackwidow Ultimate BF3 Edition | Razer Naga Molten

Depends if you want to play the new games at ultra settings. I would upgrade if you wanted to game at ultra but its up to you.

I may upgrade my cpu cooler and gpu, but I want to make my pc future proof, and by getting a new i7 (I want to go intel/nvidia physx) and 780, it would be good for a few more years than if i just get a gpu. I may upgrade though. I definitely want to upgrade to play max settings on future games like bf4. And I do a ton of video and music editing and mixing so i thought the hyperthreading with the i7 would be good over the i5.
