Okay so I had to reinstall Windows for the fifth time this year and I need a better way to back my stuff up.

What program would you recommend and guide me through it :)

Thanks <3

I keep all my files in a google drive folder.

You download google drive

You install it

Put files in

Done

I usually just put files on to my 1TB HDD but it's not good enough.

I wanted to know of better ways to save Windows settings and such.

I mean, if you really want to save all of your Windows settings and such (I wouldn't do this) I think the best option for you is to clone your boot drive over to your storage drive.

Just use windows backup...

schedule it to whenever you want, and back up whatever you want to a separate HDD

Don't rely on software, just get another hard drive, preferably 2TB+ (depending on how much shite you need to keep safe) and plug it in once every ~2 weeks, or month and throw all your important stuff onto it.

Get a brand new harddrive and configure windows to redirect your old user path to that harddrive.

If you need to reinstall windows, recreate that junction and you will have your old files back.

I'd do an image of your boot drive every week to a second hard drive. That way you'll be able to boot to the second drive if the main one corrupts or dies. I'd keep any documents or work on Onedrive or Google Drive as well.

For the imaging, I think Windows backup might be able to do it, or else there is a great software called Drive Image XML that is perfect!
