Should I update to Ios 8.1.3? Last time it did, everything became slower, choppier, and generally had less frames which made it look terrible. I'm wondering if anyone else has a iphone 5 and if it is fixed or not.

I reverted just in time back to Ios 7.

Sound: Custom one pros, Audioengine A5+ with S8 sub.

Well, because your phone is the newest of all the iPhones, so obviously it would run fine.

Not my phone. My work phone :P

I use my G3 for personal stuff. And I'm still waiting for VZ to update me to Lollipop.

I like my iPhone 4, but want to go android for my next phone because it simply is cheaper for better parts, but I don't need a new phone as my iPhone does what I need it to do, albeit a bit slowly but it usually works fine.

You have to hand it to apple, although their processors aren't cutting edge, they sure know how to squeeze performance out of their A-Series SoC.

A lot of it comes down to the fact that it's based of OS X, based off UNIX making it inherently more efficient, especially memory wise.

I wouldn't say that UNIX in and of itself is more efficient than linux but I'd say that iOS doesn't have a VM that it runs in...

If I were you, I would had updated the day it came out since you get about 2 weeks before Apple closes the signing window on the previous version, in this case 8.1.2. Seeing that it's been almost 2 weeks since 8.1.3 came out, I'll play it safe and not update.

Yes, but then I won't be able to go back to Ios 7. I'm not trying to test out the new security updates, i'm wanting to test out the new Ios version.
