Flashplayer 100% load

Hello.

I was just wondering if someone could help with this...
I recently "recycled" a old computer, just for messing around with.
Among many outdated things, it has a Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q9450 (http://ark.intel.com/products/33923/Intel-Core2-Quad-Processor-Q9450-12M-Cache-2_66-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB), and for my surprise, a twitch stream in the "Source" quality sends the referred CPU to 100% load, more precisely the Flashplayer plugin for firefox does it...

Is this to be expected?

no its not the cpu should not be that high its good enough. I dont use firefox tough so i cant really help u to fix this but that is not normal.

Hi @MRNR,

Try using a "light weight" browser. Pick one you like on Google (or Bing). I can't really recommend a light usage browser so you will have to do some research. This may lower the amount of CPU usage when watching a Twitch Stream. Close any unneeded applications running in the background, which will also help.

I did some research and i came up with a browser called OPERA it whas recommended becouse it dident use allot to run.

Thx for the answers, but I think I didn't explain myself correctly. I didn't want any solution for this, I just wanted to know if this was normal behavior from the CPU or the flash player plugin.

Has anyone with a similar CPU experienced this?

Twitch causes my overclocked 2500k to spike over 40% at times when watching 1080p source streams, the problem is Flash.  It happens in both Firefox and Chrome.  It actually uses so much CPU that it lowers my FPS in games

My Q6600 in my media center machine is still very relevant. 
This is not normal. 

Try a lighter browser for twitch, such as Comodo Dragon, or Opera.
