  1. Hello. A friend of mine asked me to check the webcam in is laptop (it's a Sony Vaio with a few years), the webcam just stopped capturing image. When any application that uses it sends the request all that shows is a black image. The webcam is detected and says its function well in the device manager. The driver, despite being pretty old, it's the most recent one I could find... (and yes it was a long search... ). I also uninstalled and reinstalled said driver... It's possible that the webcam just flat out died? On a side note, the mic still works... Any ideas or solutions? Thx.
  2. Thx for the answers, but I think I didn't explain myself correctly. I didn't want any solution for this, I just wanted to know if this was normal behavior from the CPU or the flash player plugin. Has anyone with a similar CPU experienced this? Thx again.
  3. Hello. I was just wondering if someone could help with this... I recently "recycled" a old computer, just for messing around with. Among many outdated things, it has a Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q9450 (http://ark.intel.com/products/33923/Intel-Core2-Quad-Processor-Q9450-12M-Cache-2_66-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB), and for my surprise, a twitch stream in the "Source" quality sends the referred CPU to 100% load, more precisely the Flashplayer plugin for firefox does it... Is this to be expected? Thx
  4. Nop. The screen never even comes on...
  5. Hello. I have a Acer Aspire 7520 stuck in boot loop, I turn it on, it stays on for a few seconds (no more then 5), then it powers off, and on again. Stays like this until I unplug it. The laptop is not mine so I do no know what kind of (miss)use it has suffered. The speccs are: AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor TK-55 (1.8GHz, 2 x 256KB L2 cache) GeForce 7000M 2GB DDR2 160GB HDD It was runing Windows 7 Ultimate at the time. I have tried to turning it on with and without the battery plugged, to the same result. I also tried some solutions that I found in other forums, like pressing arround de keyboard and touchpad for a few seconds with no result. I also read that a bios reset could help, but I do not know how to do it... I removed the back of the laptop in hoping to find the bios battery and removing it, but I could not find it. Can anyone help? Thx
